Why Choose Mapei and Wykamol

Whether you’re a DIY homeowner, a professional contractor, or a housing authority, you need building products that deliver reliable, long-lasting results. Burton Supplies stocks two of the industry’s most trusted brands. Mapei for construction chemicals and Wykamol for moisture control. Here’s why they’re the go-to choice.

Mapei: Precision in Every Tile and Joint

• Global Expertise, Local Performance
Founded in 1937, Mapei leads the world in adhesives, grouts, sealants, and waterproofing compounds. Their products combine cutting-edge R&D with user-friendly formulas.

• Flagship Product—Keraquick S1
A rapid-set, flexible tile adhesive that bonds strong and cures in hours. It offers:

  • Exceptional Grip: Keeps tiles firmly in place, even under heavy traffic.

  • Fast Turnaround: Ready for foot traffic in ~4 hours, fully cured in 24.

  • Workable Open Time: Up to 45 minutes to adjust tiles.

  • Low VOC & Odour: Safer indoors and compliant with strict European standards.

• Why It Matters
Contractors appreciate the time savings and reliability; homeowners love the peace of mind and straightforward application.

Wykamol: Complete Damp & Mould Solutions

• Specialist in Property Preservation
With nearly 90 years’ experience, Wykamol focuses on damp-proofing, waterproofing, and mould treatment. Their systems are proven in basements, bathrooms, and social housing.

• Flagship Product—Mould Eradication Kit
  A two-step “Clean & Shield” system:

  1. MCS1 Mould Clear: A ready-to-spray biocide that kills spores at the root.

  2. MCS3 Fungicidal Additive: Mix into paint or wallpaper paste to prevent re-growth for up to five years.

• Why It Matters
Simple enough for DIYers, robust enough for pros—this kit removes existing mould and protects surfaces long-term, reducing repeat treatments and maintenance calls.

Compliance, Performance & Support

• Regulation-Ready
Both brands meet or exceed standards like EN 12004 (adhesives) and BBA approvals (waterproofing). With Awaab’s Law (2025) demanding swift mould remediation, these certified products help you stay compliant.

• Technical Assistance
Detailed datasheets, helplines, and installer training ensure you—and your team—get the best results.

• Sustainability
Eco-friendly formulations (low dust, low VOC) and responsible manufacturing practices align with modern building requirements.
